Beer and cheese! Bottle pairing with Thirsty at 46 Chesterton Road. Details below
Tom Norton, brewer and founder, will be here at #46chestertonroad to meet and chat to you all in the bar in the early evening, before being whisked out back for a special bottle tasting. Tickets for the tasting are limited, so get in quick.
Little Earth Project are based just down the road in Sudbury, Suffolk. They specialise in Farmhouse, Sour and Historical Beer styles, and have a huge emphasis on local ingredients. Their hops and barley are grown extremely locally and they forage for their other additions, often using berries and wild plants from the farmland around the brewery.
They use mixed fermentation, with a combination of primary clean yeast and their own wild yeast, which is a bi-product of the apple skins pressed for the family's own cider. All of their beers are aged in oak casks for a minimum of 3 months, so it is definitely a waiting game to produce these special beers.
On Tuesday December 4th, Tom Norton, the man behind Little Earth Project will join us at Thirsty for a special bottle tasting. After months of waiting on the ageing process, they will be releasing a fleet of new beers at the end of November, and we will be holding a guided bottle tasting.
Tickets will include: A measure of 7 beers, tasted and talked through with Tom who made them. Plus a food pairing with Cheese, which will be put together and provided by Culinaris (Delicatessen wizards who have never let us down with a beer pairing)
Tickets are £24 + EventBrite fees.
Two of the beers will be available on tap in the bar, with a Meet the Brewer beforehand in the bar area.
The beers from the tasting will be available to buy after the tasting.
Tickets are very limited, attendees must be 18 or over.
